Alain Coppejans was born in Leuven (Belgium) in 1966.

He started out as a drummer at the age of 3. His first gig was as a guest drummer for a few songs in his fathers band at the age of 4.

His father was a jazz pianist and Alain became interested in playing the piano at the age of 16.

Alain never attended music school, but he learned a lot from his father.

Alain tried to find the chords with his ears, which of course took much more time than music school, but was all the more satisfying when he found a new beautiful chord himself.

A few years later he started to make musical arrangements for several Belgian artists.
